Midas' touch...

The waves embraced the firm rocks

And tousled the ferns with a subtle touch

The air grew colder, the rains poured harder

Heaven, with His mighty wand crafted an avalanche.

In the midst of Nature’s symphony

There stood I.

Looking up at the grey clouds

How I wished I could fly high!

An enticing shimmer beckoned to me

It was the golden horizon of Love, shining bright.

Magically, gossamer wings crystallized around me

And slowly my soul acquired flight.

Fighting the storm, I flew towards Love

Beyond the murky clouds, Love was the silver line

When I crossed the tempest, I saw your face emerge

I flew, to unite with the Divine.

The blazing rays of your Love kissed my wings

And enfolded my entirety in its radiant sheath

Your touch transformed me into a golden bird,

With the flame of Love glowing underneath.

Frozen in time, fixed in the horizon of your Love

This lifeless bird can fly no more,

Golden wings are powerless,

Only your scarlet love can make it soar.

Flown as I have, to the forbidden horizons,

By you I am now possessed.

Your Love, like Midas’ touch has enchanted me

Love me again; the golden bird would then be blessed.

Break this charm on me, with your touch

Transform the gold to flesh

Let the scarlet rivers flood the heart

Let the scarlet love unleash.
